Moments is Lingon Design’s tribute to the Moomin family and the Baltic Sea: two shell halves seeking each other, much like toffles and the other small creatures seek the comfort of Moominvalley.

Inspired by seashells and the sea, the two shell halves come together and gently clink against each other as you move. Their meeting is a small reminder of connection – of the people and moments we want to keep close, and of the sea and nature we share and need to care for, all year round.

The shells are inspired by the simple, characteristic shape of a seashell, with softly rounded corners and a gently folded surface. The five folds create a play of light and shadow, adding depth to the design.

Created in 2020 as part of the #OURSEA campaign, Moments was made in collaboration with Moomin Characters Ltd and the John Nurminen Foundation. Moments brings together Tove Jansson’s Moomin world, the Baltic Sea and a message of care.

Description

Delicate dangly earrings featuring the same seashell shape as the Moments necklace, here in a smaller size. Each earring has one shell half hanging from a handmade silver hook.

The softly folded surface catches and reflects the light beautifully as the earrings move, giving them a gentle shimmer.
